The Mid-Michigan Health Information Management Association has scheduled a training session at the Saginaw campus of Davenport University. Three (3) CEU's will be given for this session.

2011-2012 Executive Board Members

President

T J Hunt, MBA, RHIA

T J is the program director for Davenport University-Saginaw's health information management programs. Previously he worked for Sparrow Health System, ProMedica Health System, and Mercy Health Partners. Currently he is pursuing a doctorate degree at Indiana Tech in Ft. Wayne, IN. T J is married with 2 children. "Our family owns percheron draft horses. and I enjoy golf, weight training and camping".

Christi Beck, RHIT

Ms. Beck is the Health Information Technology Program Director of Mid Michigan Community College. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management and an Associate of Science Degree in Health Information Management. She is currently pursuing a Master’s of Science in Healthcare Informatics.

Secretary

Amy Oxendale, RHIA

Amy is a full-time coding specialist at St. Mary's of Saginaw. She graduated from Davenport University and obtained her RHIA credential in May 2010. Previously she worked for MSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital in Medical Records. She is currently pursuing her Health Care Management concentration MBA at Davenport University. Amy is the mother of three grown children and enjoys reading, growing flowers, and working outdoors in the yard.

Lisa Kagay, MBA, RHIA

Currently Lisa is a full- time faculty member for Davenport University- Saginaw's Health Information Program. Before coming to Davenport she taught at Kaplan University in Maryland and was the Program Director for the Health Information Technology program at Ogeechee Technical College in Statesboro, GA. Lisa is a certified ICD-10-CM/PCS Trainer.

Past President

Glenda Nielson, RHIT, CCS

Glenda, past Treasurer of MMHIMA, was instrumental in updating and digitizing the financials of our organization. Having retired after 17 years as a coding specialist, she is still very active in her chosen career field. Glenda was asked to be part of a team to design and implement the HIT program at MidMichigan Community College where she is currently a member of the adjunct faculty. Glenda is also a certified ICD-10-CM Trainer.

Sandra Zubke, RHIT

Sandy, Past President, current Nominating Chair, has been a board member for the last ten years. Sandy is the Medical Records Supervisor for McLaren Community Medical Center where she has been employed for the last ten years. She enjoys working on the board and helping the membership grow.

Megan Tober, MBA, RHIA

I am the Program Director for HIT/HIM at Davenport University - online. I have worked at Select Specialty Hospital, Saginaw; West Virginia Medical Institute; and St.Mary Medical Center. I am an ICD-10 certified Train the Trainer.

Jane Miller, RHIT

Jane is embarking on a career change after recent graduation from Davenport University. She has a passion for life long learning. Jane enjoys quilting, embroidery, and camping. Jane is married and has one adult son.

Devon Stayhue

Devon has recently graduated from Mid-Michigan Community College in the RHIT program and is excited about pursuing her new career.
